Thread Cut TW is a high-quality extreme pressure cutting oil designed for medium to high severity cutting operations on a variety of ferrous metals. It contains blends of solvent-refined mineral oils and selected additives to ensure extended machining performance, controlled extreme-pressure properties, and high production levels. Thread Cut TW also offers good tool life, excellent surface finish, and versatility in many applications. However, due to its active free sulfur content, it is not recommended for use on yellow metals to prevent staining. This cutting oil is not suitable for copper, brass, and aluminum alloys but can be used in general metal removal operations where machine tool lubrication, surface finish, and tool life are essential. It also produces low misting and smoking potential.
